While hiking in a nearby park i seen a sign for a sculpture by the river that dated back to 1885. I took my camera and took pictures of this beautiful sculpture.Included in the carving is a quiver of arrows (with the four phases of the moon), a giant serpent, an eagle, a woman with a shell behind her (reminiscent of Botticelli's Venus), a dog, skeleton, and a baby in a papoose. The artist who carved this was Henry Church in 1885.
I am a self taught artist. I love to take at least one picture a day. Creating my art is my passion. My interests in photography are wide open, everyday my eyes see something new that I think would look good on a canvas or in a frame.
